Writers' deadlines (WD) are held about once a month and are open until 10pm on the day specified. It is important that you meet your deadline because Editors and Layout have their own deadlines that they have to meet. All deadlines will be posted on the front-page calendar and
The Doctor's Notes wall calendar opposite Room 104. Members of our
Facebook group will also receive advance event notifications for each deadline.
You will have approximately three to four weeks to write your article before it is due to your Section Editor. To submit your article, upload the final version to your section's folder labeled with your name and the title of your article.
After you upload, your responsibilities to your article do not end. It is to your benefit that you keep checking on the changes made to your article (using the Reviewing Toolbar on MS Word) and note the revisions your editors have made. **This method will bring to your attention any areas in which you need to improve and will also allow you to have more control over which words of yours end up in the final version of the issue.** The revisions will be labeled with the name of the editor that made them, and therefore if there's ever any issue, you know which editor to go to.
